Worker's Rights

Sunflower Community Action is a statewide organization that empowers workers and immigrants who organize to end exploitation in the workplace. We train workers in their rights, develop new community leaders, and take direct action. SCA has developed a strong relationship with the U.S Wage & Hour Division and the State of Kansas Department of Labor to fight the labor abuse that too frequently occurs in our community.  Sunflower Community Action has helped to recover more than one-half million ($500,000) dollars of unpaid wages owed to workers in the State of Kansas.

Currently we have materials available which explain worker rights.  Many of these rights apply to the laborer, regardless of immigration status.  If you have been a victim of labor abuse or know of someone who has, please contact us at 264-9972 ex. 27 to submit a complaint or email lupe@sunfloweract.org
