Employed for many years at Inter-Faith Ministries and the Peace and Social Justice Center (AKA: "The Peace House"), Pat was actually on the organizing committee that created Sunflower and has sat on the Board of Directors, since. He has finally come to work at Sunflower Community Action, thoroughly convincing him that he's been lucky enough to work with the three best non-profits in Wichita.
Having admired Sunflower's work from his position on the board for decades, Pat sees his issues at Sunflower as "peace and non-violence" and "economic and social justice," seeing the two missions as inseperable. "Overt violence, including our nation's voracious appetite for military spending, robs resources that could be spent on social services and job creation."
