Sunflower's Mission

Our recent activity in the community, including meetings and demonstrations with #OccupyWichita around the National Wells Fargo Divestment Campaign, have created some interest about our organization and how to get involved. One of those demonstrations will occur this Halloween (Mon., Oct. 31st, 4:30-5:30) and will give many Wichitans a chance to join us and the 99% in our efforts for positive social change. Our mission statement provides a good synopsis of what to expect from Sunflower Community Action:

"Our mission is to unite and empower people to achieve justice and equality for all. We change lives by developing grassroots leaders who identify problems and seek lasting solutions. Sunflower members build power by taking action and holding decision-makers accountable. Sunflower provides resources and training to equip and empower the community towards their own goals."
