Born in New Mexico and raised in Wichita, Dhanraj Fralin know the economic story of the Wichita community all too well. "After being laid off from Hawker Beechcraft I went into a state of shock and decided to follow the money trail and you can guess where it led me." To his dismay, Dhanraj could see that despite the bailout and financial collapse of the national economy due to predatory practices, the same banks at fault were funding Payday and Title loans, with triple digit interest rates, right here in Wichita.
Dhanraj, or "Don," as he usually goes by, knows that the problems of his community are a symptom of larger, national issues, but nonetheless, takes what would be a cynical perspective as motivation to connect with new people every day. Dhanraj will tell you that his fight to empower downtrodden Wichita communities to end predatory lending and urban blight is inspired by "the greatest revolutionary in history," Jesus Christ.
