Our recent activity in the community, including meetings and demonstrations with #OccupyWichita around the National Wells Fargo Divestment Campaign, have created some interest about our organization and how to get involved. One of those demonstrations will occur this Halloween (Mon., Oct. 31st, 4:30-5:30) and will give many Wichitans a chance to join us and the 99% in our efforts for positive social change.
A key author of bills for the American Legislative Exchange Council, Kris Kobach has big plans for our state. The real question is: Is that the Kansas we want? KanVote's number one mission is to protect civil rights in Kansas. Sometimes to get to the point, one needs to go on a tangent. Kobach did just that at a debate, shown below.
Sometimes it seems like an uphill battle to fight for any change--but it's nothing good food and company can't overcome. So throw a party, invite your friends, and help get out the word on all the issues facing Kansans today. Sunflower can come to you, as seen above at the recent Occupy Wichita event.
Contact and invite Sunflower Community Action to your own party (of 4 or more people) today. Give us at least a week notice, and we can send staff with popular education resources to your location. We promise they'll even bring food.

Who We Are
Sunflower Community Action is a non-profit organization. We develop the power in individuals to create social and economic change in their lives and communities. Together, we address immigration reform.
What We Do
Sunflower Community Action provides leadership training that supports the self-empowerment of low-income people in Kansas. As we join forces to fight racism and poverty, we make our cities and towns safer, healthier places to live.
